hey i've got a 1980 toy 3/4 ton 2wheel drive long bed (well was a long bed, scrapped bed and made it a flat bed ). anyways the carb is long overdue for an overhaul. have never rebuilt toyota carb and when i was in auto school i remember a boy and the teacher attempting to redo one from a mid 80s p/u and they had trouble and don't think they ever got it right. anyways i want to give it a shot either way so if somebody could tell me where the i.d. number is on the carb. have looked all around it and haven't seen a thing. was there a metal tag? is it stamped into the body? also if you have rebuilt one and have any tips that would help greatly. i'm an ase certified tech and know quite a lot its just all those small rivots on the carb look like a major pain. thanks

There is/was a small metal tag attached top front.
I've sucessfully rebuilt carbs for my 22R's over the years.
Get a good rebuild kit, not a cheapy, but not have the carb p/n may be a problem.
