Most old diesels will respond nicely to having the injectors shimmed or springs replaced to bring peak pressures up to original maximum specs. On the same era Mercedes passenger car diesels it was 1800 PSI. That's the opposite of "rolling coal" which. to me, is the antithesis of the objective of a diesel passenger car as well as being really disgustingly impolite to those who may have to suffer in the wake of your emissions.
Should I emulsify both types of human waste and pump it out the rear license plate fixture on your windshield when you are behind me?
Close to the same amount of consideration for anyone's health.
You could add some of the sulfur that was eliminated from diesel fuels in the USA a couple of decades ago. One time when I just move my air selector to recirculate, really disgusting and almost an instant headache, especially in a tunnel.

While it might be “fun”, it’s exactly the reason diesels have a bad name. Making more power, without the stupidity of chuffing out unburned fuel and wasting money, is a far better idea.
don’t get me wrong, I like diesels and have a 2nd gen Cummins 6 speed and a stage 4 mk4 Jetta with big injectors, bv43 turbo and fmic, and it’s almost double stock power and doesn’t smoke much more than stock.
What you need is a turbo delete kit.
