My truck keeps sucking air from the hole in the air cleaner. Looks like the vacuum hose that goes from the air cleaner cover runs to a "T", then one hose goes to the idle up diaphram the other back to a, I guess, a vacuum switch on the passenger side wheel well.

I tested the MC valve (took off the vacuum hose, felt for vacuum, put it back on, vacuum is supposed to be felt, and engine is supposed to die) and guess it is bad. I felt no vacuum when the hose was taken off, and did not feel any when it was put back on. There was no change.

Does this sound like the MC valve is bad, or something else? It is the orginal MC valve.

Thanks.
