It would be great if you guys could answer this question. I have the car, I have the engine, I have the transmission, and I have the brake kit for rear disk. What I need to know is what do i need from the wirring harness before the doner gets scrapped? do I just need the eprom or do I need the whole engine harness?

If this swap is a waist of time then let me know what I should do, however money is kinda tight for this project, I have to do it on less than 2000 dollars including the cost of the car (paid 500 for the celica GT and the wrecked GT-S was free for hauling away, so I have 1500 left to work with) and it has to be built will all used parts except for those you need to buy new

I got the engine in and almost wired up..... the turbo i am going to use is coming off a volvo that i picked up for 15 dollars at the auction. the volvo guy i talked to said it make 14 lbs of boost ... that should be plenty. another friend of mine gave me a blow off valve and i spending 540 dollars for nos and i am using the rear disk brakes from the wrecked gt-s. that leaves me with 945 dollars for this project. The idea is to buld a mild car with the budget an average highschool student would have and it has to beat an 89 acura integ 4door when its done.

Nice.

A stock GTS should be able to take a B18B Teg, add NOS and turbo and you'll be way past them. $945 is more than enough to piece together a turbo setup using MR2 parts, how reliable its gonna be depends on the donor engine and tuning though.

don't know much about the donor engine...... but its only gotta beat the acura once..... wish I new what he is doing to the integ....... he paid more for his car so has less money to work with and i know he is not getting any freebies because i am the only car guy he knows that shows any respect at all to imports .... all his friends are big block chevy fans....

Stock for stock, the GT-S(3S-GE) is faster, add a turbo and NOS, and all he will see is your taillights, right of the start. Im not sure if the 86 3S-GE came with T-VIS or not, but the turbo will help greatly. Keep us posted with details.

I got it all wired up about 10 pm local time and got the nos bolted on and plumbed ...... I am about to put the turbo on tomarrow and how do i tell the computer to give it more gas????? is it like a carb and will just draw more gas or do i need to put an injector infront of the throttle body or will the fuel plate that came with the nos provide enough to cover both?
