I have a non-turbo 89 Supra and i was wondering there are any bolt on turbo kits? Would it just be easier to rebuild an already turboed engine? or should i just start saving up for a 93?

You should just save money and buy a 7M GTE.
ya from what i have heard it cost alot more to turbo a 7mge vs. swaping a 7mgte.

it depends on how deap ur pockets r. u could swap a 2jz or 1jz in w/ minor mods. u just would probably have to get a standalone.
Uh, 2j would be a much more complicated swap than just putting a 7mgte in. You have to change the whole wireing harness. And who knows what other problems you'll run into.
Would there be any huge problems facing putting in a 2jz besides electrical or possible transmission?
i think it depends on just how deep your pockets are
You won't find any flat out "bolt on" turbo kits that are worth the time or money you'll put into them. If you want a turbo Mk3 Supra, then spend the cash and the money and the effort and swap out the 7M-GE for the turbocharged 7M-GTE.

Yes, you need LOTS of work to put a 2jz into one of these cars. Transmission, ECU, electrical, gearing (rear end), getting wide enough tires, the tranny is said to not fit correctly without pounding in part of the firewall (though I've heard otherwise as well), etc...

You need VERY deep pockets and lots of time.
