Today's new cars are better equipped than ever, with convenience, connectivity, and safety features that keep drivers safe on the road. Nonetheless, smart drivers know to hit the road prepared, regardless of how long the journey.

I also include a couple pairs of rubber gloves and knee pads, because if you're dressed up for a party, work meeting, wedding, whatever, and you need to change a tire, they'll save your clothes and your day when you have to handle the tire change. I also keep a roll of Gorilla tape/duct tape, various sizes of hose clamps, universal fan belt, and a head lamp instead of a flash light or Maglite because at night you need to be hands-free working on a car. Those are things I'd recommend in addition to those nine. :)
