90' 4Runner distributor question

My distributor seized, so I got another from a wrecking yard.
When I got home, I checked the part numbers and they were off by one number.
I called the guy back up and he said
"oh...I thought you needed a 91' distributor.....it should still be okay".
The old one and the 91' look identical.
except for the mounting bracket thing has
a bit more metal protruding, but otherwise
they are twins.

So...can I swap the 91' distributor for the 90' without any problems?

I called Autozone and asked for the part
numbers they had for a 90' and a 91'
distributor and they said it was the same part number.

What do you all think?
