i had my oil changed a month ago 2000 miles later i check the oil because it tends to leak or burn about a quart of oil every few months. Anyway, i check the dipstick and i can only see a little oil on it. way below empty. Anyone know if it would be more likely to be leaking or burning it? or where the most common spot for leaking is?

if it was burning, you'd probably be able to smell it during driving. leaking, it should be noticible under ur parked car. keep the oil level at full

Since you're using up more than usual, check the filter and plug to make sure they're tight.

Also place a piece of cardboard under the car at night. If you do have a leak, that should help you get the general location of the leak.

9/10 times it's the front main seal that's the culprit change the seal (also do the timing belt water pump and cam seal while your there) then you won't have a problem with leaks.
