92-96 Wagon owners: here is a question for you!

906 Views 12 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  GOOGAH
I am the current owner of a '92 XLE w/V6. I have 4 children, ages 5, 4, 2 1/2, and 1 month. Needless to say, I have a few car seats! I have been looking at wagon versions of the 92-96 generation with the 3rd row seat. Can you put booster seats on the back row? We have a minivan already. A Camry wagon would be a back up vehicle for our family, in case something happened to the van. By booster seat, I mean the seats for my older kids, the type that allows them to use the vehicles' seat belt, not the ones with the seat. Any input will be greatly appreciated! I may have a great '92 for sale soon.

Thanks,

Richard

Can you put booster seats in the 3rd row? Does it have shoulder belts on the 3rd row?

Thanks,

Richard

Hey,

My 5 & 4 y/o use boosters with the cars' belts the younger two use car seats.
the younger 2 should be in the back seat (one at each door)
the other 2 can be put in the rear and yes they have seat belts that go over the shoulder

sorry for the bad pic but if you look inthe middle of the seat you'l see the belt buckle and on either end there is a full seat belt.

Thanks for the info! One more related question: Does the owners manual recommend putting car seats in the 3rd row?

Thanks,

Richard

You're pulling my dick right? (don't answer!)

I've never actually seen the interior of a SW. I've always assumed it just had the second row and a huge rear compartment.: :hammer: :nutkick: :slap: :bash: :eek:wned: :gaydumbo:

I gotta check this out next time I see a SW
The Scepter just went up 2 notches on my cool cars list

If you happen to be one of your household's more popular forms of public transportation, the Camry LE Wagon can carry as many as seven passengers with its optional third-seat package.

phi: i thought you were on point and i thought you saw all the threads on scepters? there have been alot of threads about the scepter clubs in japan and their facination with wagons.

GOOGAH: i've put a car seat back there and as long as you make it tight you'll have no problems and i would recomend getting a seat belt tightener to make sure i've seen one at walmart they work great. one more thing make sure to put the kids in the car seats in the back seat and the other two put them in the 3rd row.

WARNING:they might want to keep on driving due to the fact it somewhat gives you a buzz since your facing the opposite diredtion when the car is in motion but nothing to worry about  :D

but those threads almost always focused on the exterior. Never once was a 3rd row mentioned. I assumed and it made an ass out me. I'm a better person for knowing now thanks to you :D
Thanks!!1
