The other night after I got home I smelled a slight burning smell from my car when I was going inside. I dismissed it and today when I smelled it again I decided to investigate. I noticed a bit of oil leaking out from around whatever it is in the following pictures (the part which is covered by the rubber boot.)

I pulled the boot off and a bunch of accumulated oil spilled out of it. I checked my oil and there hasn't been a significant amount lost. What is this part? How much does it cost? Can the part be fixed?

Many thanks

Yeah, no prob. By the looks of it, it has been leaking for a while, which is not unusual. The prob is it may not be the source of your "new" burning smell. You might want to keep a close eye on it for a while.
