Hi all,

I am new to the forum and need some help. I just picked up a 93 4runner 3.0L 4x4 Automatic. When you start it up in the morning everything seems to run and drive OK, however, once it gets to operating temperature, if you shut the engine off and then restart it and try to drive, it feels like the 4WD kicked in to 4L and you can't drive any faster that 25MPH. The funny thing is, when you shut it off and let it sit and cool down again, it starts up and runs just fine again until you get it back up to operating temperature and shut if off again.

Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone point me in a direction to start? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you.

That's a new one. What ha penny if you start out with the shifter in 1st gear and manually shift?
