Hi my daughter has a 93 celica with the premium sound system. I tried to insatll an aftermaket cd player in it with no luck. I made a call to the local stereo shop and they said you have to wire around the factory amp. Has anyone ran across this problem. they say they can do the install for $80.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well you have two options:
run wires from the new cd player directly to the speakers
or
run wires from just in front of the factory amp to the speakers

the first option is probably easier
