When you turn the headlights on and the motor dies, has this happened multiple times. If it won't start again, i'd say blown fuse, although something had to have caused it to blow. If it happens repeatedly I don't know. I'd say check the obvious stuff first, does you battery test good, check all fuses inside of cab and in engine compartment. Could be a more serious problem, but its always good to begin with the most obvious solutions.

I would look first at the charging system, Connect a voltmeter to the batery posts with the engine idling it should read about 14.3V or so. if it is reading less than 13V you probably have a bad alternator.

Does the bery light come on when this is happening? Does increasing the RPM cause the problem to deminish somewhat?

I would check the charging system before replacing it altogether.

Something you may consider is finding if all electrical is affected in the same way; or does this happen to any other circuits or is the problem only in the circuits you first mentioned. If the problem is only in a few circuits, check a wiring diagram for each affected circuit and see what they all have in common. Possibly a connector, ground or a common power source in the fuse block. If there is nothing in common, you should first check available voltages at the circuits, then perform voltage drop checks at different points in the circuit when the problem is occuring. Doing this should pinpoint the problem.
