I Have A Code 25 On My Camry. I Found A Page That Said It Was Fuel Pressure Regulator. Is There A Way To Make Sure Before I Spend A Lot Of Time And Money And It May Not Be The Problem. Does Anyone Know For Sure What The Code Says And What I Should Check Before Buying A Lot Of Parts.

I Don't Have Any Hard Start Problems At All, Cold Or Hot. The Only Problem Is That It Spudders When Trying To Accelerate And Seems To Lack Power. I Know It's Fuel Related, But I'm Not Sure This Is The Same Problem. Thanks For Your Help, I May Have To Try Replacing It Anyway.

How do you know it's fuel related?

You can get a fuel pressure testing kit and test the fuel pressure against the specs form any manual. That would require splicing in to the fuel rail. There is no schrader valve on the Toyota fuel rails. Most kits have the fittings necessary to do this. You can also take the car in to a shop and have them perform the fuel pressure test. That's the only way you will know for certain if it's a fuel pressure problem.

Remember, CEL codes only tell you that a system is bad, NOT that a particular sensor or part is bad. I'm curious how you got fuel regulator and csaxon got air-fuel ratio. I like air-fuel ratio better. And like he pointed out, good suspects are likely air leaks (which would cause a good O2 sensor to throw the code. If you replace a good O2 sensor the new one would throw the same code.) or a bad O2 sensor (not as likely but quite possible, especially if you have used silicon where it doesn't belong.).

What year and model Camry do you have?
