History: Purchased the 4runner with seller saying it had a bad transmission, took to Mr. Transmission and Alan Cox in Marietta, ga and they both cleared the transmission and said it needed shocks, new tires, an axle and front tie rod.
Replacements: Put new shocks in the back, replaced the ripped front axle boot with new one and lubricated t, and new tires. Stills shakes, haven't gotten an alignment though...
Symptoms: When I get to about 43MPH the entire truck starts to shake something fierce, its a loud VIBRATION sound. It gets worse as I go faster.
***So does this sound like anything more than needing an alignment? ANY help would be MUCH appreciated, Thanks!!!

Could be a lot of things, but start by fixing the known problems, like your tie rod and alignment.

I took it to get an alignment and when they put it up on the lift they first showed me that my whole front suspension was loose and that I needed a "Control Arm" and then they took me over to the driveshaft and were able to wobble it all around, they removed the Front Driveshaft Yoke and that nut was almost off, so they tightened that and I need to replace the front Yoke and u-joint. Just by them tightening the bolt it eliminating some of the vibration. Im taking my driveshaft to a specialist here in GA that is going to balance it and make everything custom. I have to wait 3 days to even get an appointment though. So I will let you know how that goes...thanks for response. I do have another question, is their a thread on how to change out and Automatic Shifter, my Orange Pointer that shows you what gear your in has broken offf and I found the entire assemble at the junkyard for $65, matches perfect. But im not sure how to replace it....Thanks!
