i wouldn't buy dropzone either.

just so you know if you haven't discovered yet anything spring wise meant for 98-02's (gen8) will also work with almost the same lowering, a few guys around have used the 98-02 Tein's worked perfect... i had apex springs that worked great they were for 98-02's as well

What do you think about these?

So what do you guys think about these?

KYB GR-2 GR2 STRUTS SHOCKS

I desperately need to rebuild the suspension of my 95 Prizm, it is stock and I have over 320,000 miles on it! I was thinking of lowering it a bit but I think even a lowering kit might raise it up because the stock suspension is so worn out. lol
I obviously don't want to spend a lot of money on this old work car. What would be the best way to go as far as Struts and Springs with a 1"-1.5" drop?

Then what would you suggest for factory specs? There has got to be a better setup then just buying whatever they suggest at O'Reillys or AutoZone.

I think it's obvious that I will need to change the struts and springs as well as the strut mounts, they are both crack and one has a small tear in it.

Sticking to generic replacments (ie NAPA) Would likely be the cheapest way to fix the suspention up. (If you basically have to replace the whole shock absorber, maybe you could get them preassembled, I don't know.) You might be able to get the tops off a wrecking yard...

Either way, I think you will be paying a lot to replace the whole assembly.

I figured it would cost me to fix it... (But it has to be fix) I was wondering if for the same price or close to it if there were better options then just over the counter part store parts that would be an improvement over stock.

look on ebay. They got Monroe quick struts (new springs already installed on new shocks). Just remove yours and install these. Easy, a little better than stock but not harsh nor drop.

I have mixed feelings for gas struts. I have Tokicos on my car. They're great unless it gets really cold out. I don't know if it's a possible factory defect because it only happens on the Rear/R but it locks up and acts like I have an iron bar instead of a shock. Tokicos in general are great but I got mixed feelings after this.

That sounds like a great option! I looked for the setup on eBay an googled also but I can't find anything for the 1995 model will another year work without any modifications?

Also what do you think of these? It is a good price and quality?
