95 corolla turn signal blinking faster!

3542 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  gameguru1360
My 95 corolla(base)'s front right turn signal blinks much faster when I turn on the right turn signal, and the rear right signal won't work at all. But the left turn signals(both rear and front) work just fine. What could the problem be? Just a blown bulb? Or a short circuit somewhere?

Will replacing both the right turn signal bulbs work?

Thanks.

This has happened not on my corolla but on my pick up and van. I found it to be a short caused by water getting in. This may not be the same. But blinking faster sounds like a short too me

Welcome to the forums! This is happening because the rear right turn signal bulb is blown. Replace the bulb and the problem should disappear

Thanks to both of you for your answers. Also, thanks Kiwi-corolla for the welcome. I will try changing the bulbs tomorrow and let you know if it worked or not. Btw Kiwi-coro, your corolla is AWESOME, loved the gas/brake pedals and wheel covers.

No problem :). Let us know how you get on. Thanks a lot for the comment in regards to my Corolla! Glad you like it :D
if you wanna go cheap, go with the sylvania long life bulbs, model # 1156.

With my rear tail lights and rear signal lights, I've chosen to go high power 27 LEDs bulbs and have gotten the fast signaling as well. Had to put 6ohm resistors to prevent that!

Got my LED bulbs from v-led website: http://www.v-leds.com/1156-LED/Red-LED/sc122238-1-2//page/1/checkForLanding/true
