I am new I have read alot as a guest I have a 96 celica St or 40th anniversary was repainted but has finder badges it has 1.8l I gave 500$ for it when I got it it would pop out of 4th gear unless you held it in so long story short I loaned it to someone for the last 6th months got it back now it only makes a grinding noise will not go into 4/5th gear at all the shift cable bushing is wore as all get out so I order new one should I start looking for new trans if so what other trans will work can't locate any 6th gen 1.8l in junkyards around here now I don't think I said 1,2,3& reverse gears all still work
