Dad has a 97 Geo Prism, same as corolla. The alternator belt needs to be replaced. Where is the tensioner located to loosen the belt? It seems as if all are fixed. Do I have to remove alternator? Never seen one like this, changed all our cars belts and the tiny 1.6 liter stumps me? Help

You have to loosen the pivot bolt a little at the bottom of the alternator, then the tensioner bolt at the top on the rail and just pivot the alternator that way. There may be a tensioner on there, but i cant remember... You will find it once the belt is off tho, if there is one.
