Hey guys. So my brother wrecked our 98 Camry due to rear end damage, so I have the car up on craigslist. It has the 1MZFE V6 and I'm trying to figure out what other years it will work for because people will occasionally ask. I haven't even pulled the motor, trying to get someone to just take the whole car and do whatever they want with it.

1998 1MZ is pre VVT-i, drive by cable.

So it should work in 99-03 Solara, 97-01 Camry, and 97-98 ES300. Maybe 95-98 Avalon.

IIRC I would recommend for someone to buy the engine for the same model, but in the general terms, the engine is used in multiple applications. Shouldn't be an issue between a 97-99 Camry V6. I think the 00-01 had a different exhaust manifold color, but same otherwise?

The ES300 application I think there is an additional oil level sensor (not pressure) that sends an warning light to the cluster if the oil level is low. The motor mount I heard is different in the sienna vs camry. I think the Avalon to Camry is similar providing it's not VVT-I as mention above.
