1998 camry, 4 cylinder. This will only happen once the car has been driven for a little bit, and in stop & go kind of traffic. Car will come to a stop at a light, and die right away, or die once you lightly try to accelerate.

It struggles for a few seconds, rpms go up and down, then dies. Oil light came on one time after it died, but just noticed that the last time it died. Checked the oil level before re-starting, and oil level was good.

Literally almost 3000 miles. I think like 2750 miles since last change. I just run what the cap says, which is 5w-30 I believe.

its look like your EGR clog up...and need to remove and clean with carborator cleaner... you can get from any autozone store...

next, i try to remove body throttle and clean.

And if you shift into neutral while it's doing this? Would lightly tapping on the gas pedal help?

I had the same problem-change spark plugs, add sea foam (watch video on you tube before adding). That should do it _if it doesnt clean throttle body, then clean the EGR valve. But first I would change spark plugs if they havent been changed in a while.

I agree with this^^ The oil light was just a stall condition.
