Hi I am a do-it-yourself mechanic and just replaced the transmission in my friend's 2.2 L'98 Camry. She purchased a used automatic transmission and it took me 5 days but I finally completed the swap. I checked all the fluids and topped them off. I also put new fluid in the differential and the transmission. I started the car and tried putting it in gear. The shifter moved as if it was going in gear but the car will not move forward or reverse. Please help me. Why won't the car move?

Maybe the torque converter is bad. Is the problem now, the same as before the transmission swap? Just for thoroughness, try pulling OBD2 codes.
