my 98 corolla valve cover gasket went bad, so i want to replace it. i was wondering if this valve cover gasket will work?

yes. it will felpro is good stuff. but this is the reason why they ask for the year/make/model of your car at the parts store. to make sure they get you the right parts the first time.
