Hey Y'all,

I was coming back from the store tonight with my room mate in my truck. From the store to the parking lot at school is about 3-4 miles or so. It was driving fine and all and then I pull into my parking lot and slow down to turn into a parking lane and go to speed up a little again and it wouldnt shift. It would stay at around 10mph while I was burning like 3 rpms. This truck is an automatic. I probably wont drive it again til Thursday when I go back home. If I get back in the truck and it works fine with no problems should I go get it checked out regardless. My gut instinct tells me too so I think I will.

Could be a lot of issues, suggest you take it for a full test drive.

If the problem remains the trans control system should have a built-in trouble shooting system allowing checking for trouble codes.

Also check the trans fluid for quantity and condition.
