Well...well.... what do we have here.... a Camry I did not know about?

http://www.answers.com/topic/toyota-camry

I say this is the first generation, regardless of the "Celica" name connection. After all Celica was a different two door sports car so we have to consider this a complete Camry...........

Comments??
I am dying to see what all y'all have to say about this.

Update: I am amazed at such "less reaction" I got out from all the Camry people here. I was SHOCKED when I saw this car. How can you all stay so calm? I am trying to find more pics and do research on this. What will I accomplish? Better sleep.

Since 2000, Daihatsu has sold a Camry twin named the Altis."
Makes sense since Toyota owns Daihatsu. They also own Hino trucks. That is one of the things that will supposedly help increase their sales next year to achieve top sales globally and take over GM next year possibly. I saw another report saying that they could possibly overtake GM in 06.

That's right. The Camry's predecessor was the Corona.
No. No. No....
Please... !

Corona is a different car. It is between Corolla and Camry. Still sold in the rest of the world.
I love the Coronas. I wish I had them in USA.

ALL: COULD WE discuss the 1980-82 Camry/Celica for a change on this thread? :sosad:
