Any tricks to changing the fuel filter on a '99 taco 2.7l ? Do I need to go in through the fender well and drop the starter? Thanks.

98 Fuel filter replaced

I replaced my own fuel filter on my 98 Tacoma, but it is the 2.4L and not a 2.7L. The process should be about the same I suppose. I looked under the intake manifold and found mine, then loosened both fuel line banjo bolts and the mounting bolts, then swapped it for the new one. I bought a Toyota original fuel filter for about $40, but I guess a napa part would work too. Hope that helped
