Hey now,,,I have a question i hope one of you can help me with.I own a 99 runner and the check light came on after a hesitation at a stop light. i checked the MAF sensor and it was clean as a whistle. checked for vacum leaks and nothing, so i took it in and had it scanned and got a code P0120, throttle position sensor. Truck runs smooth and im getting these hesitations now and then.They say that it is intermitent they cant say for sure what it is,,,Any idea's out there?

If it keeps happening I'd change the tps sensor. Buy OEM not parts store junk.

Had the same problem but was getting P0120 and P0420 code as well. MAF was clean so i tried a new TPS. Started it up after install and hesitation worsed. Brought tps back to store and bought a new MAF sensor, Man did it make a difference no more hesitation. Check engine light a/remanded off for about 450mi and came back on reading P0420, Then i replaced tps, a/f a o2 sensors it totally fixed hesitation issue. Light stayed off for a long time then back to hesitation and light appeared again, code said p0120. took tps back to Autozone, installed new one and ive been running check eng. and hesitation free for 9month. just cuz MAF looks gud n clean dont mean it is. Buying oem parts is safest bet for quality control. New Plugs made a Huge difference in performance aswell
