my g/f has a 99 avalon and about a week ago she had a deer hit her. it smashed the right front fender and passenger door. my question is, is the white color the same as they used on 09 camry's? ive had some painting done on the camry and it came up as super white 2. also did they put pearl in the clear? and one more. how hard is it to replace a front door and door panel. ive done many fender replacements before but no door replacements. almost did one on my old acura i had but sold it before i could start. THANKS!

According to that, only the Diamond White Pearl (051) was available on 1999 Avalons. This is the same color on my '99 Avalon. I'll run out and check to see if it says the paint code anywhere on the door later during lunch.

As Virotek alludes to, the way to see if they're the same is to compare the paint codes on the certification label on the driver's door. Assuming both are original.

Swapping out a door is not a terribly hard job. You'll need to trace and unplug some wiring harness, but I assume you are getting a salvage door?

I believe that if you can bolt on a fender, you can swap out a door. It would be nice to have a floor jack (or a strong buddy) nearby when doing the door. Otherwise just swap anything that doesn't match up and you'll be good.

i will have both a strong buddy AND a floor jack. floor jacks dont wear out or ask for beer. strong buddy is too young to drink. so that saves me money.
