My used 99 Tacoma Prerunner didn't come with a key fob for the keyless entry. I bought one off ebay but it didnt come with any instructions on how to program it. I've googled it but have came up with nothing. If any one knows how to program it, your help would be extremly appreciated. Also, if you know of any websites that might help, please let me know. Thanks!

In 99, you had to have an alarm system to get keyless entry.
Do you know if you have a Toyota VIP alarm or an aftermarket?

Here's a great Web page with the instructions for the Toyota RS3000 VIP Alarm System.

The instructions for programming the remotes mention that you have to press a button on the ECU. The ECU should be located under the dash somewhere you can reasonably get to it without taking the dash apart. I know that on a RAV4, it's under the dash on the driver's side, near the center of the vehicle.
