I have a 1991 gts hatchback 2.2 5 speed, with 150k on it. It runs, and drives just fine, but it is completely rusted out, to the point that my drivers seat is falling through the floor.
Anyway, I know where there is a 1994 gt hatchback sitting, for a reasonable price, but it has no motor. It is set up for manual trans, and the body looks really good.
My question is will this be an easy engine swap? I have a buddy that would do the work for me for cheap.

Transfer over the intake/exhaust manifold and engine harness and a few other minor bits from the '94 to the '91 engine and you're good to go. About as easy a swap as you'll get short of having exactly the same car.

If you don't have any of the engine parts in the '94 that will complicate things.
