I am installing a Toytec 3" lift kit and I am working on the rear now. Is there a trick to installing the new leaf? It looks as the bolt provided by Toytec is too short to go through all the stock leaves and the new one (before compression) to allow the bolt to grab some thread. Do you have to compress the stock and new leaf together first and then run the new bolt through? I would think it would be an easier install if the new bolt was about 6 1/2" to 7" long and you could tighten the new leaf and stock springs together that way.

Help would be appreciated. I am running out of ideas. Thanks!!

I held all of the leafs together with a c-clamp, then I ran the bolt through. You will have exess bolt left over that you will have to cut to get the bump stop back on.

yeah, I think the bolt they sent me was too short because it would not fit through the bottom plate and the new leaf. I replaced it with a longer bolt and it was easier. 3" lift is installed; tomorrow the alignment and hopefully new tires. Thanks for the reply.
