What is your car model / year ? Are you sure it's not just a low charge problem or is it really a low quantity of air that comes out ?
AC vents not working
Just as the title says. On high, the AC vents barely have any air coming through them. But through the vents that are aimed at your feet it comes out like butter. I tried all the different settings but nothing works. I guess its either the control knobs on the consol or the pipes have come loose. Any ideas as to what it could be?

It's a 93 LE. From the vents in the on the console and dash, almost no air comes out. Yet, the vents from the bottom near your feet is where all the air comes out. Last night I was tooling with it and I noticed that when I changed where the air should go (the knob on the console) it wouldnt make the usual noise like it was closing and opening vents then rerouting the air, if that makes any sense.
yes that does make sense i'm no sure on the 93 but there either a cable where when you turn it it moves that cable to move the vent postion or that a switch that tells a servo or little motor where to move the vents and either the cable for that is loose the motor is burnt out or the switch is bad
With that being said, does any one have a DIY or FAQ on this? Anyone else have any more ideas?
Did you find out what your problem was? I have a 93 that is doing the exact same thing and have been told that I may have a vacuum leak but don't really know where to look.

You probably have a defective damper control servo motor. The plastic gear gets brittle and the teeth break.
