Hi guys!

Just bought me a Toyota Corolla 2002 CE and I'm very excited about it. It's not in the best shape, though mechanically it seems pretty sound, just a bunch of cosmetic things really. Anywho, the corolla doesn't have power windows, locks or keyless entry and i'd like to add that somehow. Is it easy to do it on your own? If not, how much do you think it'd take to get all those professionally done? If you guys know of any links to get starter kits or places in orange county that do these types of things just let me know, thanks!!!

P.S. I just bought it today so I don't know much about it, anything i should be looking out for? Any problems synonymous with the Corolla 2002 CE? And Kbb says it's about 32 city and 39 highway in terms of mpg, is that true? C ya!

Edit: Oh, and i wanted to ask you guys, how do you clean up the inside of the car? What i mean is the engine area. It's all dirty and dusty, can i just hose it down or is that not good for it.. Thanks fellas.

I just bought one of these this weekend. It was not well cared for either. The first thing I did was clean the engine. I bought a spray can of engine cleaner at the local parts store. First I removed the large black plastic cover on top of the engine. Backed the car out of the garage first thing Sat. morning and sprayed everything under the hood. Even sprayed from underneath. Used a toothbrush are and there on some built-up grime. Waited 10 or 15 minutes and turned the hose on it full force until it was clean. Started the car right afterwards to dry it. Drove it up and down the block to help get water out of it. Looks alot better!

Here is a link I use to see how many mpg other people get with their cars:

Sup and welcome to the forums..... i too would like to add power stuff in the near future.. i know these cars had options to have power windows and door locks so my question to the experts is.....

Would a base corolla/prizm have the wiring in place for future power lock/window/mirrers upgrades? or would one have to add wiring for these options?

if there is already wiring in place then it will most likely be an easy install and maybe some trips to a junk yard will find you some cheap power items. I am hoping this will be the case :D
