Please post your opinion of the of updated speakers and sound difference. I'm thinking of doing the same.AlpineJLAudio said:I have finally ordered the TacoTunes speaker kit. I also went to Best Buy today and picked up some Alpine SPS-170A speakers. $99 a pair. I got 6.5" all the way around. It will be nice. I plan to keep the stock tweeters as well.
Why the 6.5 all around vs 6.9s? (thinking of this same upgrade)AlpineJLAudio said:I have finally ordered the TacoTunes speaker kit. Because round(6.5") speakers put out better sound quality vs oval(6x9s) speakers.TacoTRDinMN said:Why the 6.5 all around vs 6.9s? (thinking of this same upgrade)
Me too brother. :thumbup:Fitz235 said:I'm one of the guys that just changed the speakers (coaxials, 6.5 rears, 6x9 fronts, left the stock tweeters),and they sound way better than stock.Between the speakers, and speaker adapter kit, it was under $300. I was just looking for something that was an improvement over stock, while spending as little as possible, and this worked for me.
This is what I'm thinking about doing. Heck, lots of manufacturer descriptions of their speakers mention that certain models are excellent for replacing factory speakers.Fitz235 said:I'm one of the guys that just changed the speakers (coaxials, 6.5 rears, 6x9 fronts, left the stock tweeters),and they sound way better than stock.Between the speakers, and speaker adapter kit, it was under $300.
