I love my new PR but I wouldn't mind smoothing out the ride a little while I'm on the freeway. I need this Taco because I do many things (like towing) that requires a truck. But I spend most of my miles on the freway commuting. I notice the rear suspension is somewhat bouncy with no load. With a load it's smooth as silk. The front end is always smooth. So I was thinking of getting adjustable shocks for the rear. I'd like to get the same dampening on the firm setting as the stock shocks give but when I don't have a load I can switch them to cush mode. Anybody know of who makes or sells these?

Looks like Rancho makes them in a 9 way adjustable. But only for older Toyota pickups. I'll have to call them to see if they make them for 2005+ Tacos.

I bet Rancho has something that will fit, even if it's not perfectly designed for the Tacoma. I had some RS9000's on my F-350 and they were pretty nice. I had the remote control system for them so I could adjust their firmness from the cab, which was nice for towing and hauling stuff.

Turns out Rancho does make the 9000 adjustable series for the 05+ Taco. They list for 2wd(not Prerunner) and 4wd. But I have a Prerunner. Isn't the Prerunner shock size the same as the 4wd? I'm thinking I need the one that fits the 4wd, part number 99319.
