As you might expect from the title I had a little run in with a dumptruck today. Needless to say the dumptruck won... they always seem to win...

The damage to the dumptruck is some of my paint on his bumper and possibly a non penitrating cut on the tire.

My damage was a dented, shifted driverside fender with a hole cut in it, a shifted pod and pod cover smashed and scraped on the one side, a dent in my hood wich is now under the shifted fender and my driverside front wheel is half on (I hope only the wheel mounting is damaged). Hopefully that is all the damage.

The way it happened is he was going south on Guelph Line and I was going north. He has a flashing green and I had a yield. He was able to stay in the left lane but as soon as he finished he came into the right where I was comming out and hit me.

I'm not to sure who is at fault though. The guy was saying it was mine but I'm sure he was supossed to stay in his lane so it would have been ok for me to go. So I think it is sort of a double fault or no fault kinda thing...

Today seems like it has been a very bad day for me. I woke up late, kept dropping the soap in the shower, car did a miss shift even though I did a complete shift 4 times, crashed my car, had a wood panel twice the size of me fall on me at work, I cut my fingers open at work...

I'll post up some pictures of the damage later.

my poor car. :(

Noone cares about the car, show the pic on the finger!

Seems to me like you yielded and was OK. The double yellow lines are there for a reason. No exception... It's like tailgating, no exception, if you hit someone, you were too close LoL!

I just finished taking to a guy who deals with accidents. It is a 50/50 fault situation. So basically we gotta fix our own stuff.

I just got the car back so I'll have the pics up later tonight.

I really wish large cargo bearing vehicles had their own roads to travel down. A cement truck smashed into a friend of mine's truck and tore it up REALLY bad. at least you were not hurt IN the accident.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Dont worry, now you have something to do with your car. And trust me, after this accident you will appreciate your car 10x more.

Look on the bright side! :D
