and here's the ride

well i bought a 1988 N/A Mr2

the MR2, had an AE101 JDM 4AGZE :smokin:, mounted but uninstalled in the rear.:clap::clap::clap:

here's the car..

and the engine

what are your guys' ideas? any hints on wiring? anything i should look for with the swap?

Swap the GZE to your corolla, then sell the parts from the MR2 online.

Ditch the 3 spokes and keep the 5spokes for your Corolla. :)

im with ren, if the MR is rotted, normally id say f- the ae92 since the mr2 is pimper and ae92 is a sr-5. but anyway, you could probably use bits of the mr2 for teh efi conversion (like fuel pump). and ya use the mr2 rims!

lol jesus i cant believe what i read sometimes. anyway, i'd do what ren said, part it out. look online to see whats needed, then grab up that stuff, salvage the disc brakes, anything thats important that you would grab if you had another mr2, and needed backup parts for it. pull the engine, slap it in the ae92, then haul the carcass to the scrapyard, or tell the local salvage yard to come pick it up, even if u bought it from them, they can still use the wieght, and will give u prolly 50 for it if its mostly stripped(75-100 like it sits) cuz they can still get around 175 in wieght from it.(@ least around here anyway) ...

see if the mr2 brakes will fit the ae92, ive never researched this...
but they may have bigger discs and may be swappable, dunno..

either way, you will have a nice ae92 to work with, youll have taken your ae92 to another level, and have a sweet hax to feel good about. plus youll have parts you can sell to other buyers. inventory them all and put them on ebay, then set the bids low and shipping high. ebay takes around 5% of what you make off the deal, but they cant touch shipping, so thats how you get around that.
if your buyers are cool, then they realize that they'd be paying the same either way and wont care about the shipping.

good luck =]

i'm goint to get some guys in the DND to make new center caps for me, proibly put a toyota symbol in the middle. or AE92 and i got a guy comming today to give me a cash deposit on the MR2, so it's basicly gone after i'm done with it.

Thats easy to fix :naughty::D
i've already re-built 3 corollas in the last 4 years... not doing an MR2. expecially when it has less good parts then me rolla does. and i'm just now on the search for trueno tails... i NEED SOME

well.. for one... they wont fit...

and second, the cars are... a two-seater... and a two-door... body length difference explanation anyone?
ive seen them fit on a sedan with some mods. the center section would only have to be lengthened a couple cm. its not that big of a difference and pretty simple to do. you dont have to be an asshole if you dont like my suggestion. and dont talk down to me like im a noob.

the valve covers are going to be painted this week, has a C50 tranny on it? i am just guessing, but it was written on the tranny with paint.. or a marker. and axles... and everything, ecu, almost 100% of the wiring harness... everything but a map sensor. i do believe

a small update, i'll be at this everyday till it's done now.

the c50 would make sense, sincet thats what wouldve come with the mr2 stock, i'd ditch it though, those things crunch on the stock bluetops, a gze (let alone a smallport/map gze) is gonna shred it. try to find a e-series box, 3sgterolla on CC is selling a e52 LSD box ofr cheap.

rims look good.

yeah.. the 5-spoke design on the AE92s is always boner-worthy. :naughty:

You need to lower your ride now man, otherwise looking good.

The C52s will hold up to a GZE as long as you're not doing burnouts at every light and providing you get a heavy duty clutch, Aaron and Eric have a C50 on their GZE AE102 sedan and they still haven't killed it. :)
