I have a 2003 Camry with the factory keyless entry and no alarm option. I just put in a Clifford 10.5 alarm that has a trunk release option. I would like to get the aftermarket remote to open the trunk just like factory keyless system.

Has any Gen 5 owners with an aftermarket alarm gotten their factory solenoid trunk release to work with their aftermarket alarm? If so, can you tell which wire, color, and wire location to splice in? Thanks in advance.

i also have keyless entry from factory but there is no alarm proctection. I installed the alpine alarm and was able to use the pop the trunk feature. I use a relay to trigger the trunk module to pop the trunk open. First, you have to locate the wire that trigger the module. It's located on the driver side kick panel. It's white wire w/ blue stripe. Then you have to splice it. That is where you add a relay. I do not have the specific detail with me but that is how it goes. ouput from alarm to relay , relay supplies with 12 volts power and grounded, ouput from relay to the trunk wire . However, for more infor. you should visit

Thanks guys for the reply, I got it installed today.

As Jchan mentioned its the blue/white wire in the driver side kick panel. I had to be put in an additional 5-wire relay.

Question:

Where did you have the LED mounted?

The installers did not ask me and mounted the LED in front of the instrument guage cluster.
