I just installed an Pioneer head unit in my '98 Avalon XLS (premium sound). I purchased the metra harness that allows you to continue to use the internal Toyota amplifier (harness has 4 RCA connections that connect to the pre-amp outputs on the new head unit). I have it hooked up properly but have no sound going out to the 4 door speakers.
Is there a 12-volt trigger or something I need to tap start the internal amp? There is a blue/white wire coming off the Pioneer radio harness that I do not have hooked up to anything yet. I thought perhaps this needs to be connected in some way to the Toyota harness to turn the int. amp on.
Any ideas?
