Hello, I have a problem about my truck and would like to see if anyone might know the solution to it. Everytime I start my 98 tacoma, the air bag light comes on and it stays on. It has been on for about a week now and i'm thinking about taking it to the shop, but i just want to ask around first if anyone might know something, that could help me. Thanks for your time.

My airbag/SRS light was blinking. Took it to the $tealer and they found out it was the driver's side seatbelt tensioner module had gone out, they had to replace the whole seatbelt harness and it cost me a little over 4 Benjis.

Here is a thread from a few weeks ago describing my issue with the airbag light in my 98 TRD.http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=226714&highlight=airbag

I checked all the wires I could find with yellow plastic connectors. They are for the airbag system. I pulled the driver's seat (only four bolts - its easy) as I was suspicious of the seat belt warning system wires underneath.

I never found anything conclusive, but the problem resolved itself without a trip to the $tealership. Read the thread, as I did post a follow-up.

Good luck!
