Hi guys, this is my first post so i'm not sure if this is the right area.

I am looking for help with "how to clean a air filter" . I have the ractive tornado cone filter that has a heatshield on it, but all i could google on the net was k&n stuff. HAs anyone come across this? thnxs :whatwhat:

I think you'd need to either vacuum it off or buy a new one. I think ractive ones are jsut disposable.

Just dunk it in water and mild soap. Move it around and clean it. Then leave it outside to dry (or in a dry area if it's cold where you live).

Buy the K&N filter charger kit, that's what I do to clean my filters, I've had Ractive and Weapon-R before, and the K&N filter charger kit works just the same way. The instructions on how to use the kit are on the box.

My filter was in need of a clean, so I took it off, and used an ordinary drinking straw to blow all the dust a debris off of it from inside to outside.:thumbup: It worked great, but my lungs aren't in the best shape to do it again.
