it isn't for US model 8th gen corollas, so i wouldn't buy it, not for 250 bucks when for the same money you can buy an AEM dri-flo filter and a cheap EBAY intake kit and still have 100+ left

haha my bad man my computer is messing up i put that in the wrong post sorry about that. is it hard to make my own intake kit do you know
its cool, and no it isn't i'm pretty sure the DIY sticky has a post on how to do it, but i think it's a cold air, not a short ram. i have a short ram which is as easy as breathing to install. the cold air intakes i think you have to relocate your battery or remove your intake resonator box to install (both of which i'm to lazy to do ). search around on the forum i KNOW somebody's done a post on how to install a cold air

It's very simple to make your own. All you need is some alloy pipes (such as intercooler piping), some silicone joiners, clamps, a hacksaw, pod filter and a few beers. Route the piping, mark where the cuts should be, cut the pipes, join them together, put the pod filter on and you're done. I made my own CAI on my 93' Corolla and also made one for my brother's 98 Caldina GT-T a few weeks ago. It's much cheaper than buying a pre-made kit, looks just as good (if not better), gives you the choice of which route to take, where everything sits and what size piping you use. Plus you get a sense of accomplishment when you're done

The problem with that is, unless you know exactly what pipes you need (size, shape, angles, etc.) it will be a lot of trial and error and extra expense buying pipes you can't use. And since it is difficult (for most people) to buy those parts at local shops they have to be ordered on line and it is a real P.I.T.A. to have to return unusable parts.
