The airbag light on my 2004 Avalon is still on after the recall was done last week. The light never stayed on prior to the recall. The dealer agreed to to a diagnostic at no charge but I will be responsible for any repairs required. Obviously, I regret ever bringing it in, but any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Try clearing the code with a scanner or by pulling the EFI fuse for 30 seconds and see if it returns.
I would raise a major stink since you had no issue before their mechanic did the recall work.

The scanner shows no codes. Airbag light is on and seatbelt warning no longer works. I’m taking back to the dealer next week.

Does the scanner read SRS/ABS codes? Not all do.
