Hi everyone. I've been driving toyotas for about 30 years now and love them. I currently drive a 1998 Toyota Camry CE that has only 120,000 km or about 75,000 miles on it. It is a great car but now is starting to show it's age with the engine light coming on and staying on. My mechanic tells me the EGR Valve error code is coming up on the scan and I'm now looking for information as to what the cause of this error code could be. I want to try to estimate the maximum cost to fix, while waiting for his estimate which I will get probably tomorrow.
I have already seen some information on TN about this error code and plan to look around before asking any questions that have probably been asked before.
It's good to find a forum for Toyota's as I'm looking for other information as well. I have owned this car since I originally leased it new, buying it at the end of the lease. So I have been driving it for years and know it has been taken care of over the years. I used to put a lot more miles on it than I do now and I'm afraid it is suffering from the lack of mileage.
