Hello,
I have a few questions and am not getting straight answers from my "local" Toyota dealership (110 Miles away in Fairbanks, AK). Please bear with me as I'm new to this and my Highlander. PS....I live in the interior of Alaska so I can't just hop, skip, or jump to my local Toyota dealer to figure things out. Here is where you all come in
1. The blue ambient lighting (inside) is great when car is on and parked. As soon as I put car in drive or reverse, the ambient lighting dims way down. Is there a way to have the blue ambient lighting stay on the same brightness as it has when it is on and parked?
2. I have heard of something called "Techstream" for changing settings that one does not have access to...dealers only have this access. For example, changing the lock ding, changing the turn signal from 3 blinks to 5, changing the seat belt alarms, etc. Has anyone purchased one of these or something similar and does it work? My husband is very leery about hooking something up, changing a setting, and then something fails on the car due to this setting change. He is also worried about voiding the warranty by changing these hidden settings without the dealership doing it.
3. I have seen replacement bulbs (led's) for the interior of the Highlander....door lights, foot wells, map lights, etc. If I can't get the blue ambient lighting figured out with #1 or #2 above, has anyone replaced some or all of the interior lights with a color for a more ambient interior?
I think that's it for now.....
Lisa
