mod edit: :)

what kind of amp would i need for a http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicke...oductDetail.do the price at the store is 220 and i'm trying to stay at around 650 for my budget
Solo-Barics can take a lot of power. Look for a 1ch mono block amp, somewhere in the 5-700watt range i would imagine that speaker is DVC so youve got some wiring options, you can go with an amp thats 2 or 1 ohm stable if you want probably.

what if i went with a Infinity 600-Watt Class D Subwoofer Amplifier
then you would be making a wise choice...class D is the shit for sub amps...I am more of an MTX man...but infinity is nice stuff

Not really. Class AB is the way to go if you want sound quality...

Class D's claim to fame is it's efficiency and current draw which in turn lead to lower prices.

But I was under the impression this was to be a sub amp....which was my reasoning for the class D, I agree with you on the AB bit....I couldn't imagine running D technology for a set of components..

I'll only use class AB myself, for subs too :)

Check out the MB Quart RAA2400 on ebay. About 200 shipped. 800 watts rms @ 4 ohms, and Class AB for better sound quality bass :D
