Amsoil engine flush

What are the risks/benefits associated with doing an engine flush? I read their websites instructions about putting new oil filter on, adding flush to present oil, run for 20 minutes then drain.

I have a 1993 4runner with 144K miles. If runs fine. I don't know that it would be beneficial to me, but if its something that might improve performance/life of my V6 (yeah the suckier one), then I might do it.

Who's doing the flush? You or a shop?

If they're using a machine, then DONT DO IT.
If you're doing it yourself (just changing the oil a bunch of times?), then I spose it can't hurt.
