My antenna used to move back and forth freely. At highway speeds it would tilt back. Now, today I partially took off the front fender so I could see behind it. In doing so, I did not see how to remove the antenna. So, I tried tightening it and it was getting better then all of a sudden snapped off. Now I am left with a little tiny nub sticking out and I can't get it off to replace it. I put a nut on the nub and a bunch of JB weld. So, hopefully I can just turn the nut and the broken off antenna piece will come off. Do you guys have any suggestions? How should I get it off differently?
Thanks

When my antenna broke, I just loosened the fender and ripped that shit out. Then I spotwelded a piece of sheetmetal behind the hole and then welded the hole. I then ground down the welds and smoothed it out with filler and painted it.

I put a new antenna on a custom mount between the hood and fender. The new antenna has better reception, is not vulnerable to branches and is easily replaceable.

yeah...but if I tried painting it white...it would not look right. I figure an antenna is the best way to go.
