I took delivery of my Toytec ultimate lift and have a good idea of how everything bolts up except for the swaybar relocate brackets. I asked Toytec and they recommended that a "professional" install the lift as they would know what to do. I live in a small community in Canada where Toytec recommended professional installers are a little difficult to come by...lol. Does anyone have any pics of their swaybar relocates to give me an idea how they go on?

Thanks!

there are two u shaped brackets that bolt onto the frame which the swaybar goes through. you take them off, put the relocate kit on the frame, then put the bracket back onto relocate kit. i will take pics of mine in a little bit and post them to you if no one else has in a min

What would be the purpose of the swaybar relocation kit? I was thinking of getting rid of mine altogether. People say it improves your ride tremendously...true or false?

sway bar relocate kit moves the sway bar away from your strut assembly or other metal parts. thats y i put mine on because my sway bar was rubbing my strut assembly causing a very annoying squeaking sound. but no it does not help your ride.

Do you thnk its necessary that I install a relocation kit for a 2.5" lift?
that depends, is your sway bar rubbing on any other parts? it is not necessary to install it but if it is rubbing or close to rubbing on anything then yes you should.

I finally took mine off and wish I would have when I first lifted it. :headbang:
IMO, the ride on and off road is much better. Just a little more lean in the corners on the road.
what size lift do you have? i have a 3" lift and i definitely wouldn't take off the sway bar. you'll notice how bad it handles on the interstate usually. but many people do with a 6" lift.
