The two little storage compartments towards the tailgate: is there any way to lock them? They just have the little twist lock, but is there any type of physical locking mechanism that can be had for one in case I decide to throw a chamois or something like that in there?

Perfect! Thanks, it's time to join over there, seems like most everything has been discussed, just need to search.

I haven't even got the truck yet and I'm bookmarking little "mods" like this

Does the combi lock let you choose and change your combination? If not can you buy 2 with identical combinations?

Thanks

Yes. You can choose and change the combination
as well as set it so the end user can't change it.
The locks are sturdy and feel like they will last.
If you order them, don't forget to order the angled cams
(one for each lock).
good luck!

Do you have the part number for the cams too? I checked out the site, and only found 1 1/4" 1/2" angle, or 1 1/2" and 1/4" angled cam, something like that, not whatever it was that you posted, it was 1/4" too short. I'm assuming they can be found at most any hardware store though.

Good question!

When you phone your order in be sure to ask for the 1 1/2" angled cams. They told me
that the 1 1/4" angled cams advertised on their web site were really 1 1/2" long. It's a misprint on their web site.
With the cams angled back towards the back of the storage door you will find there's no cutting or modifying the cam slot.
Good luck!
